Getting Ex

Ever heard of someone dating a friend’s ex and getting married or do they always break up?

LOL….Yes, it really can work out! I was married 12yrs to the father of my sons. He was a severe drug abuser, woman beater. My ex lost his good job (doing dope at his work) and started working at this cabinet shop during the last couple years of our marriage. A co-worker of his was a guy I had a “silent crush” on in High School. He and my ex started hanging out after work. He was living with a woman 14yrs his senior and they were having problems as well as the obivious ones of my exhusband. It wasn’t an affair (like everyone assumed) but we both left our ex’s with in a month apart. Started dating 6 months later. Dated 6 months….broke up because both ex’s went CRAZY over it. He went back to her for 356 days….I didn’t go back to mine. He left her again because he realized I was the one that should have been all along. Now we are getting married! My advice if this is something you are wanting. DO IT!!! An ex is an ex for a good reason. You owe them NOTHING! Including the loyalty or respect of avoiding someone you really want/love just because of THEIR feelings. Keep in mind the two “friends” will most likely become your new worst enemy and will do anything in their power to ruin it.(Just like ours tried) It can be very stressful. But if you are willing to accept the consquences for the possible reward of finding “the one” go for it! Their is no guarantee that the relationship will last….as with any other relationship. But for me it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I’m with the one I’ve spent 30yrs looking for. Looking back… the thought of avoiding him because he was friends and co-worker with my exhusband I would have cheated myself out of pure bliss. If you love and want the person just do it!
